Job Summary:
An Electrical Engineer designs and develops electrical systems and/or components to project specifications, focusing on economy, safety, quality and reliability. They are involved in projects from design to implementation, acceptance testing and handover. Electrical engineers work as part of multidisciplinary teams, including engineers from other specializations, architects and technicians. In addition to technical competence, electrical engineers need the ability to manage project work and multi-task. Additional skills, such as the ability to work in a supervisory capacity, are usually required as careers in this role progress.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Identifying customer requirements;
• Designing systems and products;
• Write commissioning procedures for electrical installations;
• Reading design specifications and technical drawings;
• Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and
timescales;
• Interacting with others on the design team, and with clients
and contractors;
• Attending meetings on site;
• Designing and conducting tests;
• Recording, analyzing and interpreting test data;
• Proposing modifications and retesting products;
• Servicing and maintaining equipment; and
• Preparing documentation, writing reports and giving
presentations.
Job Requirement:
BS in Electrical Engineering
Certifications or license preferred
Knowledge Skills, Abilities and Experience:
• Minimum Experience: Three years (working experience with USACE
Projects is preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good knowledge of English language (reading, writing and
speaking) is an essential
• Computer skills (MS Office Package) and AutoCAD
• Be familiar with electrical design sofwares (etap is preferred)
