About Actionaid International

Job Summary

Facilitate all NSP activities in the district according to the NSP manual as well as integrate Actionaid Afghanistan thematic areas, values and principles. Oversee the operations and management of the team and ensure that all activities are according to the plan and implemented in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

Facilitate the team towards reaching the goals of NSP project
•Ensure that the team follow process and systems laid out by the organization
•Conduct regular weekly and monthly meetings with the team as mentioned in the NSP Management System
•Ensure that weekly and monthly plans are made in a participatory manner and followed up effectively by the staff members
•Build excellent rapport with the local key stakeholders of the community like the Mullah, district governors, local shura leaders, etc.
•Ensure that gender mainstreaming takes place in all aspects of the programme.
•Ensure that NSP facilitation is inline with the NSP operation Manual
•Follow up of proposals submission
•Provide support to the communities with regards to receiving the installments
•The district facilitator is responsible for organizing and coordination office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency as well as organize and supervise all the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of an office.
• Carrying out staff performance appraisals, managing performance and disciplining of staff at the Surobi district office
•Supervise preparation of travel requests fro the field staff
•Regularly meets with staff, communities facilitators and other staff to exchange information and to discuss issues affecting the office, prepare agendas, recording meeting minutes
•Support the security department and update regularly the security staff on overall situation of the area

Job Requirements

•Degree in Engineering, Social sciences or related subjects
•Two years experience of National Solidarity Programme (NSP) at a supervisory level
•Able to facilitate NSP with approximately 20-25 staff members in a participatory approaches
•Able to stay in the District of Surobi for long periods of time
•Ability to build excellent rapport with the local stakeholders and people
•Ability to communicate, read and understand English, Pashto and Dari
•Computer skills in Ms. Office Programmes and Internet operations
•Management experience
•Reporting writing skills
