As a Driver to know all the rules and regulation of the United Nations in the field of Driver and observ the rules of United Nations as well as Gov traffic rules and regulatios
Under the overall guidance of the Security Officer and/or his designated official, the driver in particularly carries out the following duties:
• Drive Armored Vehicles and other vehicles on all terrain.
• Transporting of authorized personnel to and from their assigned offices or working positions.
• Use radio communication, and carry out tasks as instructed by the Unit.
• Use alternative roads, in case of road blocks and emergency situations.
• React professionally in crisis and emergency situations.
• Must be able to go on mission trips and overnight stays.
• Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required.
• Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensure. that the vehicle is kept clean and in road worthy condition.
• Report all mechanical faults and check for maintenance records.
• Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.
• Ensure that rules and regulations are followed accurately in case of involvement in accident.
• Must be capable to work extra hours if necessary.
• Must be capable to work extra days if the mission and Unit require.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Education:
High School graduate.
Driver’s license, knowledge of driving rules, regulations, must have all prior original documents.
Work Experience:
At least two years work experience as a driver preferably with UN; safe driving record.
Languages:
Good communication skills both in English and local languages.
Skills:
Skills for minor vehicle repair.
Capable to work extra hours if necessary.
