Skills Description:

  Knowledge of simple machine operations and use of vehicle materials

Duties & Responsibilities:

·      Make field trips in or outside the Kabul including districts, villages if required;

·      To drive the WHH Afghanistan office vehicle safely for transport of authorized personnel, delivery and collection of mail, documents and other item as directed by the supervisor;

·      To keep assigned vehicle clean both internally and externally;

·      To carry out daily preventive maintenance, including checking fuel & water check (radiator and wipers), lights, tires pressure, horn and general inspection of interior and exterior of the vehicle;

·      To maintain the vehicle logbook properly filled out with fleet information as well as maintenance and making sure it is signed properly by the user & authorizing 0fficer;

·      Ensure that all essential items in vehicles are available at all times (fire extinguisher, first aid box, spare wheel, tool kit and other items as suggested by security);

·      Perform minor repair of the vehicle under supervision of supervisor;

·      Drivers may be requested by the office to work as night shift drivers, based on a monthly drivers’ schedule;

·      Assist the night shift guards with monitoring the CCTV cameras and patrolling in the compound starting evening up to morning to make sure that the security situation in the street monitored and any suspicious activity reported to the radio room or security manager immediately. ·      Do the radio check with internationals on the weekends when required;

·      To perform as a duty driver at non-official time if required for office work;

·      To undertake any other tasks in case of emergency;
