Job Summary:
Driving:
1.Drive carefully, in accordance with national traffic rules. The speed limit in town is 40 km/hour. The speed limit out of town is 80 km/hour
2.Adapt vehicle speed to road conditions, vehicle load and technical conditions, and drive taking into consideration safety of passengers, pedestrians and other slower vehicles
3. Slow down if a passenger requires you to. Do not go faster if a passenger requires you to and that you feel it is not safe to do so
4. Always carry with you your original driving license
5. Always stay polite when controlled by local authorities at checkpoints
6. When arriving at checkpoints speed must be reduced, and if at night, inside front light must be switched on
7. Always wear seatbelt when driving and ensure the front passenger does
8. Always stay in your car when waiting for a passenger; if the weather is hot, you can go out from the car to find some shadow, but you must be able to watch out for the car.
9. If you are in an accident DO NOT drive away. Stay with the vehicle and wait for the police. Inform the office immediately (DEPENDS OF THE SITUATION)
MAINTENANCE OF VEHICLE
1. At the beginning of each movement the driver should:
a. ensure fluid levels (oil, water, brake fluids) in smooth area
b. Check the presence and the condition of car and equipment (tools, first aid kit)
2. Clean the vehicle inside and outside
3. The driver should always manage to refill the fuel before the tank is half empty and the fuel level should always be over half
4. The driver must not attempt to carry out any technical work or repairs without the prior approval of the Logistic Officer
5. Ensure cleaning / changing of filters (oil, fuel, element fuel and air) and oil.
SCHEDULE:
1. the driver must move in respect to vehicle usage procedure only
LOG BOOK:
1. The car log book should be filled in details for each trip by the driver and signed by the passenger. If no passenger is in the car, the person who requested the car, or if impossible, the Logistic Officer should sign. Please write in a readable way
2. Record each fuel fill-up in the log Book
3. Record each reparation and service
IT IS NOT ALLOWD TO:
1. Transport non HARAKAT staff
2. Transport soldiers and polices, even unarmed
4. Transport more people than the number of seats in the vehicle
6. Drive without a valid license
7. Smoke when driving
8. Phone when driving
OTHERS:
Perform other tasks such as delivery of mail, purchase, as requested by authorized person
According to the work requirements, the driver can be asked by his line manger to perform additional tasks

Qualification:
1. Excellent/ responsive driving skills;
2. Excellent knowledge of roads and traffic rules;
3. Previous professional driving experience for NGO;
4. Fluent in verbal and written Dari/Pashto language,
5. Good knowledge of written and spoken English will be preferred
Desirable

2. Using VHF and other means of communication
