About Mine Action Coordination Center of Afghanistan:
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Driver under the direct supervision of Admin/ Finance Assistant and overall direction of the Area Manager is responsible for the following assigned tasks:
ï‚§ Care and maintenance of the MACCA vehicles, such as cleanliness and refueling;
ï‚§ Perform driving tasks for the MACCA;
ï‚§ Complies transport documentation i.e. daily logs; daily vehicle checklists;
ï‚§ Ensures passengers have current travel permits as required;
ï‚§ Ensures vehicles have appropriate documentation, i.e. accident forms;
ï‚§ Carry out radio check when required;
ï‚§ Ensure vehicles have a full compliment of safety and emergency equipment including
fire extinguisher, first aid kit etc;
ï‚§ Operates mobile sets and handheld radios both VHF and HF;
ï‚§ Conduct vehicles inspections for serviceability and arrange servicing requirements;
ï‚§ Conducts periodic maintenance on all types of vehicles;
ï‚§ Reports on regular basis the serviceability of the vehicles/equipment/spare parts stock to the Transport Dispatcher.
ï‚§ Responsible for maintaining the data base for the fleet.
ï‚§ Performs any other duties relevant to the field as required;
ï‚§ Secondary education; or 5 years applicable experience with UN or international organizations.
ï‚§ 1-2 years applicable driving experience
ï‚§ Must hold a current civilian driverâ€™s license;
ï‚§ Accredited certification in Advanced Driving. (preferable)
ï‚§ A technical skill-set to assist in vehicle maintenance. (preferable)
ï‚§ Must be able to speak and write English.
ï‚§ Capable working in multinational/cultural environment.
ï‚§ Flexibility in undertaking any kind of assignment.
