Duties & Responsibilities

• To take care of assigned vehicle, prepare it for field trips (ensuring sufficient vehicle maintenance prior to trip, availability of spare tires, first-aid kits, snow-chains, etc), maintain it during trip (including secure parking) and clean the vehicle on completion of trip
• To report to the Supervisor or Admin Manager any accidents or malfunctions of the vehicle
• To properly check oils and fuels of his vehicle during trip and when necessary undertake smaller repairs
• Advise and supervise workshop for routine vehicle maintenance/repair.
• To know and obey traffic rules
• To sign all the related document of his trip by related officer and To fill in the vehicle log book properly
• Receive and follow instructions for transporting staff, visitors and equipment/material.
• To be helpful to the passenger within the limit of logistics rules
• To wash his vehicle and keep clean it all the time
• To report his arrival to the Logistic Officer or Admin Officer
• To do any other duties assigned by the Logistic Officer
• Know all streets, neighborhoods, roads and/or towns in assigned location(s), particularly regarding safety/security.
• Do not accept unauthorized passengers.

Job Requirements

• At least two years driving experience,
• A general knowledge of Afghanistan’s traffic rules and regulations,
• Possess a valid driving license,
• Good team work skills,
• Ability to fluently speak Pashto, Dari and talk in English,
• A willingness to learn new skills,
• Good sense of humor.
