BARAN, Multi Location
The ENT Specialist is under direct supervision of the project manager and will coordinate his/ her activities with him/ her. He/she will be supported by the technical team includes one audiologist, one Ear Mold Technician and one Trainer/ Community Mobilizer.
• Develop action plan;
• Consultation and Treatment of mild cases at site;
• Refer moderate and server cases to health facilities;
• Supporting to conducting hearing screening at planed sites;
• Collecting data;
• Assist the Program Manager in terms of analyzing data;
• Assist the Trainer/ Community Mobilizer in developing training materials;
• Conducting capacity building sessions especially in Disability Awareness for BARAN employees and other organizations as required;
• Perform delegated works by Project Manager.
1. Educational Background:
• MD degree in ENT;
• Knowledge of disability;
• Familiarity in design and implementation of disability awareness activities;
• Understanding and knowledge of national and international disability policies;
• Understanding and knowledge of Community Based Rehabilitation. Implementation;
• Knowledge in program monitoring and evaluation design and implementation;
2. Experience:
• Work experience in ENT;
• At least 5 years of proven experience at field, training and program management level in disability and social work sectors;
• Experience in design and implementation of disability awareness activities;
• Experience in program monitoring and evaluation design and implementation;
• Experience in action plan development, project management, and report writing.
3. Languages:
• Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills are required.
4. Skills:
• Strong analytic skill;
• Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheets design and presentations;
• Strong communications skills are required;
• Efficiency, result-oriented and excellent management capabilities;
• Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions;
• Ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
• Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills;
• Cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;
• Ability to use information technology effectively
