Job Summary

The purpose of the position is to plan, organize, and coordinate the economist functions for the MoPW.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct original economic analysis to inform policy issues or other strategic direction for the government.

Prepare MoPW performance report.

Preparing budget forecasts.

Deliver project analysis within tight deadlines and in response to specific requests.

Organize meeting(s) with key official(s) from sectorial ministries and other organizations as required.

Monitor the database project performance, financial analysis and project recommendations.

Build economic models, representing complex issues in a simplified abstract representation.

Analyze data using mathematical models, statistical and econometric techniques.

Deliver results within tight deadlines and in response to specific supervisor’s requests.

Develop the PPP framework for MoPW.

Develop M & E framework for MoPW.

Any other task may assigned, based on requirement.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or related fields.

Requirements:


At least 5 years’ experience in the related field.

Excellent Computer skills in operating MS Windows and MS Office programs.

Excellent knowledge of World, Excel, PowerPoint and MS project.

Proficiency in English, Dari and Pashto (Reading, Writing and Speaking)

Excellent interpersonal Skills

Self-discipline, integrity and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
