Job Summary

Under the supervision of Managing Editor, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of a group of Afghan News editors. Major responsibilities include:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Make video assignments;
• Project editor responsible for coverage of parliament and related political and governance stories.
• Assign stories in cooperation with other newsroom editors
• Advise reporters in planning and reporting stories
• Edit stories
• Coordinate with graphics editor on multimedia coverage
• Any other task as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in journalism is required;
• Strong proficiency in Dari and Pashto is required;
• Proficiency in English language is required;
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Advanced certificate in journalism is preferred.
• Having enough editing experience in news, feature
