Implementation and management of Education activities in the district or field - under the overall supervision of Senior P Manager Urozgan and Education Manager Urozgan.
Save the Children Afghanistan Program works for realization of Children's Rights and protection of their well-being together and civil societies from rights based perspective worldwide and Particularly in Afghanistan. We are mandated to bringing the lasting positive changes in the lives of all children worldwide.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Assist the education coord in establishing appropriate systems to implement the Education activities in partnership with communities and district education authorities.
o To assist the educ coordinator to establish and strengthen the coordination between all stakeholders in particular Save the Children Alliance members to work as one entity.
o Manage technical issues of the project in the field and report expenditures based on project proposal and budget work plan to the education coordination.
o Assist the project field staff in planning, Implementation and supervision.
o Ensure regular supervision of field staff and program activities/ facilities through development of supervision plans and timely report to the education Manager.
o To set up appropriate after getting advice/ and consultation with the education Manager in monitoring and evaluation system for different levels in whole catchments area.
o To collate field staff weekly and monthly activity reports and submits provincial report on time to line coordinator/ manager.
o To prepare the project weekly, monthly, and any other required progress reports to the line supervisor
o To assist the education coordinator in improving the project field staffs knowledge, practice and behavior through meetings and on the job trainings
o Ensure the educ program coordinator recording and service provided is in line with DoE standards.
o To carry out other necessary tasks as and when requested by the education coordination.
- Assist the education coordination as per our role and responsibilities requirements in order to meet organizational strategic objectives.
- According to the role, policy and mandate that have been set by save the children, the education team in general to follow the maximum children safeguarding policies in project target areas.
- According to the role and responsibilities, education officer is responsible to manage, motivate and provide timely feed back to the project field staff in response to their performance toward the project objectives.

o Degree relevant/or from a reputable institute with knowledge of Education related
o Working experience in related field.
o 3-4 years work experience in similar position in Government, National or International Organization
o In depth knowledge field of Education, management, budgeting and reporting
o Have capacity to plan and manage a multiple deadlines working environment.
o Have a flexible attitude to changing priorities and adaptability to the environment.
o Have the ability and capacity to think ahead and highlight areas of concern, risks etc and planning.
o Good team player and capable of working in multicultural environment
o Fluent in speaking and writing English, Pashto and Dari languages.
