An International Educational Project. The Education Project Specialist of Education and Research oversees the development of the projectâ€™s educational goals and works with the production team to ensure that these goals are properly represented in the television show. This person also oversees the formative research testing of content in order to test for appeal and impact among the target audience. The Project Specialist of Education and Research will also establish and maintain project relations with key educational stakeholders in Afghanistan such as the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and educational NGOs. The successful candidate will be able to navigate between the fields of education and media.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the educational goals of the project
â€¢Oversee formative research
â€¢Develop and manage relationships with education project stakeholders
â€¢Maintain effective communication between production team and Sesame Workshop
â€¢Post-Graduate degree or equivalent experience in Developmental Psychology, Education, or a related field. Or a trained teacher who has taken up some project based work and has project management exposure through experience.
â€¢Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education and child development.
â€¢Experience working with young children.
â€¢Experience in curriculum development, and qualitative and quantitative field research.
â€¢Experience in Communications or Social Media a plus.
â€¢Excellent organizational skills.
â€¢Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- English required, Dari AND Pashto fluency preferred (but must speak one fluently)
â€¢Able to manage communication across different time zones
â€¢Afghan national preferred
