Grand Technology Resources (GTR) is seeking a proactive electrical engineer with expertise in the field of datacenter operation and maintenance to assist with a hardworking liability perception, from the perspective of both Mechanical and Electrical Facilities’ Operation and Maintenances.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day planning, operation and regular Preventive and Corrective Maintenances (PM&CM;) of the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) facilities for the projects (ongoing datacenter projects and coming new projects) in Kabul City.
Perform regular monthly corrective and preventive maintenances of M&E facilities (UPS, AVR, distribution units, HVAC, fire alarm system, surveillance system, etc).
Report monthly on the maintenances and any other works carried out on all M&E infrastructures.
Address and solve the emergency probable M&E problems.
Focus on M&E facilities operations’ enhancement based on the best worldwide-accepted practices.
Regular site visit to perform feasibility studies, evaluate the M&E operations behavior, and recognize the reasonable technical solution in case of probable problem in M&E infrastructures.
Identify and implement of safety and security requirements in M&E infrastructures.
Pursue the best procedure for developing the project on a given site and scope.
Understand the M&E infrastructures related activities goals, needs, wishes, limitations, expectations and aesthetics based on the project scope.
Pre-design and planning of the Electrical Facilities in view of the various productive aspects and follow up with revised design subsequent to client discussions.
Coordinate with other design divisions, such as the mechanical, architecture, civil, IT and so on to sum up with a final perfect design.
Consider the optimum optimization factors with the on-site investigation for M&E infrastructures overall operation enhancement.
Application and comparative analysis of codes and standards in adapt with the M&E related projects requirement.
Finalize all electrical engineering issues such as calculations, specifications, drawings, charts, graphs and maps for the M&E facilities.
Comply with national and international electrical low and medium voltages codes and standards.
M&E equipment and systems cost estimation and analysis.
Develop training materials for M&E related capacity building programs.
Assist and exchange of knowledge (capacity building) related electrical and electronics with M&E Team.
Any other duty assigned by the Line Manager.
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with at least three years’ related experience in datacenter operation and maintenance services with recognized national and international organizations.
Demonstrated experience with electrical engineering design, planning, analysis and optimization programs (such as: AutoCAD, Powerworld, VOLT, MATLAB, or any other similar Low and medium voltages analysis and planning programs/softwares ).
Office package (MS. Word, MS. Excel, MS. PowerPoint, MS. Outlook, and MS. Visio).
Strong communication (Local and English languages) and outstanding personal skills.
Have the ability to work for long hours and under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
