Job Summary:

Herewith FIA is looking for an energy assessment specialist with background in energy / engineering sector and experience in working on similar assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Support Program Manager in developing survey tools for the DoEn assessment;
•Contribute his / her expertise to help to assess department of energy staff skills and participate in information collection;
•Assist Program Manager in assessment of Department of Energy staffing and skill sets;
•Document existing department revenue generation practice, fee collection process, account management, payment and metering methods, ability to determine and isolate power theft;
•Identify existing forecasting practices and provide recommendations for improvement of all processes;
•Participate in field work and meetings;
•Provide leadership to the team of surveyors in conducting interviews with major stakeholders;
•Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirement:

•More than five years of relevant work experience the energy sector and assessments;
•Experience in planning, designing and conducting surveys;
•Knowledge of Afghanistan energy sector is a must
•Illustrated on-the-job training and mentoring experience;
•Experience in working with a range of stakeholders that include the private sector, government officials and government agencies;
•Applied business planning and management skills;
•Good written and oral English is a must;
•Knowledge of Dari / Pashto is a must
