SC is actively working in Afghanistan since last one decade and has proven performance record of executing large projects.

Job Summary:

The Engineering Director will be responsible for project management of energy, road, railway, water and vertical structure. The project cycle includes project preparation, design, project implementation and project close-out/ handover. The Engineering Director will report to the COO of State Corps.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Prepare, supervise, and implement energy projects including generation plants, transmission lines, substations and distribution networks.

Manage the implementation of renewable energy projects including solar, wind, biomass, mini-hydro and etc.

Prepare, supervise and implement road and railway projects across Afghanistan.

Oversee and review and approve designs of vertical structures, housing schemes and residential towns.

Supervise and implement large scale and complex construction of dams, canals, water irrigation projects, and water distribution projects.

Manage the engineering division of State Corps that comprises project managers, engineers, designers, site construction team, labors, international contractors, local subcontractors and etc.

Monitor and oversee the progress of ongoing contracts and assist the corporate division in tendering process.

Job Requirement:


Must have a master degree in project management, construction management, or any engineering field.

Must have at least 8 years work experience in engineering projects.

Ability to absorb, understand and analyze large amounts of information

Ability to handle pressure, long hours, demanding deadlines and great responsibility

Clear and concise writing and drafting skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

Demonstrated analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work well in a team and independently

Demonstrated initiative in mastering new technical areas quickly
