About Afghan Engineers Relations Center:

Founded:

Afghan engineers relation center (AERC) is a social, cultural and academic entity, which provides technical, cultural and academic services for the people of Afghanistan. Afghan engineers relation center (AERC) was established in 2008 in Kabul, Afghanistan and registered with Ministry of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2009 as an independent assembly. Fortunately, during short time, AERC was appreciated and developed by the Afghan engineers and now we have five agencies which are providing engineering and capacity building services in different provinces of Afghanistan. The members of AERC exceed 2500, from which comprises professionals and specialists and permanent members which are all registered at AERC.

We are providing engineering and capacity building services including conducting of technical and civil trainings and other technical services by Afghan professionals for Afghanistan people. In addition, we are starving to boaster the rehabilitation process of our country’s infrastructures.  Moreover, we provide technical and professional trainings for the engineering university students and graduates. As well as AERC provides opportunity and facility for Engineering universities teachers and lecturers all around Afghanistan to pursue their researches at AERC.

In Short:

·        Understand the use and importance of: canal classification, section, proficiency and design (incl. slope),culvert, wash culvert, aqueduct and division box, water flow speed, pipe length and section, network design, retaining walls classification and design, soil pressure

·        Plan, design, construct, operate and maintain flood protection, irrigation and water supply

                Infrastructures to ensure safe, effective and sustainable water resource management.

Irrigation Lecturer/Designer (4 Positions)

Technical design prior to the rehabilitation and/or construction of main and branch irrigation canals and associated structures (intake systems). This course should highlight the design and evaluation of surface irrigation systems, field measurements and land levelling survey and equipment. The irrigation structures to be considered are: intakes, divider structures, canals, canal protection works, spillways, wash pass/super passages, retaining walls. The measure is not only for new to be built structures but also for existing ones that need rehabilitation. For these already existing structures, one needs to comply with the same technical requirements (design etc.) as for new ones but can base it on the existing structures.
