Job Summary

• Planning, organizing and implementing all aspects of trade shows, meetings, conferences and seminars to ensure the delivery of the event to the highest possible standard.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings for the event.
• Prepare the list of all the Exhibitors/Delegates and inform them about the event; Time and Venue.
• Liaising with newspapers, TV, radio and other media.
• Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services according to requirements.
• Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.
• Distributing press releases or briefs in order to gain maximum exposure for the event.
• Shooting and taking the pictures of the event.
• Arranging accommodation for foreign exhibitors and/or delegates.
• For trade shows abroad prepare the list of Exhibitors who will participate and facilitate the trip for them.
• Handling client queries on the day and troubleshooting exhibitor and visitor problems on the day.
• Inspect event facilities in order to ensure that they conform to requirements.
• Be the first point of contact internally for the event.
• Maintain records of event aspects, including financial details.
• Conduct post-event evaluations in order to determine how future events could be improved.
• Preparing delegate packs and papers.
• Assist the Director in selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential. exhibitors/partners
• Ensure the smooth running of the event, taking the lead in coordination of staff and other Resources
• Conduct post-event evaluations in order to determine how future events could be improved.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Mass communication/Public Relations or Social Sciences with a minimum of two years of experience in the relevant field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have excellent PC skills, including familiarity with Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• International tradeshow experience desirable.
• Excellent communication (oral and written in English) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and project management skills.
• Excellent time management skills with sense of urgency
• Ability to travel nationally/internationally
