Job Summary

The Executive assistant position will be under the direct supervision of STEP Senior management team. The incumbent will bear overall responsibility for providing administrative support in smoothly implementation of STEP Project and fulfill the following duties and responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for correspondence control and management of administrative procedures.
• Manages the executive senior team schedule and workload, prepares documents, presentations and talking points in advance.
• Plans, coordinates and performs activities which contribute to the effective management of the Office of Accessible Systems and Technology.
• Responsible for handling sensitive and confidential special assignments.
• Responsible for scheduling and making all appointments, drafting, proofreading, and/or preparing correspondence for signature.
• Develop or coordinate formal briefing materials. Arrange and schedule meetings and video / teleconferences.

Job Requirements

• University Degree or similar qualifications desirable;
• Previous experience in administration;
• Experience working in an office environment, ideally clerical experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
• Three years working experience.
• Good written and spoken English is essential, good written and spoken Pashto and Dari.
• Understanding of the international assistance community and its work in Afghanistan is an advantage;
• Experience in working with non-Afghans advantageous
• Fluency in two main local languages, Pashto and Dari (writing, speaking and comprehension).
• Fluency in English
