The Expat EXECUTIVE CHEF/COOK performs all duties related to the preparation of meals for AFGS Expatriate staff. Maintaining a high level of hygiene in the kitchen and in food preparation is of utmost importance. Food Service Certification on Health and Safety as well as certification of completion of Culinary Food Service Course is a must for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Daily preparation of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for Expats.
â€¢ Daily preparation of Dessert, Salads, Soup and bakery items.
â€¢ Daily preparation grocery/supplies list for the kitchen.
â€¢ Daily purchasing of supplies for the kitchen.
â€¢ Managing, supervision and training of subordinates
â€¢ Cleaning the kitchen at least three times a day
â€¢ Empting the garbage bins at least three times a day
â€¢ Cleaning and disinfecting the working tables at least three times a day
â€¢ Cleaning the kitchen equipment, dishes and cutlery after each use
â€¢ Cleaning the stove and oven from inside and outside after each use
â€¢ Cleaning the microwave and grill from inside and outside
â€¢ Cleaning and disinfecting the drawers, cupboards and shelves
â€¢ Responsible for food production based on Head chef directions.
â€¢ Prepare all the mise en place based on the scheduled menu applying all the food safety procedures.
â€¢ Responsible for cleaning schedule practical derolment.
â€¢ Assure the cleaning form is completed accordingly (daily and weekly).
â€¢ Assure the temperature control checks for all the required areas.
â€¢ Complete the kitchen walk through form before hand over to next shift.
â€¢ Assure food samples log before service time.
â€¢ Report directly to Head Chef for short expiry (if any).
â€¢ Support head chef for weekly order and inventories.
â€¢ Assuring all the labelling and proper storage based on food safety.
â€¢ High school graduate. Higher Education in food service related fields.
â€¢ Able to Speak, Write and Read the English language well.
â€¢ 3-5 years of related work experience as lead cook and/or Executive Chef with Western style or expats experience required. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE 3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS AN EXPAT CHEF.
â€¢ Must have initiative and work largely unsupervised
â€¢ Create Chef with ability to create menus based on client needs and desires.
â€¢ Ability to create menus and cook western style food. Certification is plus.
â€¢ Understands and the importance of hygiene in food preparation. Certification is a plus.
