About Afghanistan Stabilization Initiative (ASI) :
The Facility Supervisor is responsible for the effective coordination of all ASI â€“ EAST office and guest house facilities in Afghanistan including Kabul, Jalalabad and all district and field offices

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the following tasks:
â€¢ Supervise facilities staff (office cleaners, cooks, gardeners, guest house supervisors).
â€¢ Coordinate all facilities maintenance and repair; perform or contract out necessary repairs as soon as the problem is identified.
â€¢ Maintain stock of cleaning and facility management supplies and keep track and control of their use and distribution.
â€¢ Ensure operational efficiency of all administrative and facility equipment; conduct routine checks of the facilities to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly.
â€¢ Responsible for the effective operation of all guest-houses.
â€¢ Guarantee the smooth functioning and conduct regular maintenance of the generators.
â€¢ Ensure availability of public utilities (water and electric supplies) and troubleshoot any issues with provision of utility services or with the accounts.
â€¢ Manage room assignments for short-term staff at the guesthouse; assign and maintain records of office assignments.
â€¢ Oversee the functionality and effectiveness of heating and cooling systems
â€¢ Identify all facilities maintenance and repair requirements and coordinate corrective action by facilities staff and/or contract out the necessary repairs on a timely basis.
â€¢ Maintain stock of cleaning and building management supplies and keep control of their use and distribution.
â€¢ Ensure the removal of all trash and prevent the accumulation of unused equipment/furniture, packing materials and other items which might jeopardize security.
â€¢ Identify and report to Facility Supervisor or Sr. Operations Manager any issues with buildings or equipment which could lead to structural or mechanical failure
â€¢ Other tasks as assigned by Senior Operations Manager
â€¢ High School degree in relevant field required or equivalent experience.
â€¢ Minimum of 4 years experience in relevant positions. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is preferred. USAID funded project experience is a plus. Must have willingness to travel to DAI Afghanistan field offices / Guest house on DAI business. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment is a must. In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and work irregular hours.

â€¢ Reports directly to the Deputy Operations Manager and /or Senior Operations Manager
