Operation Mercy is an international relief and development organisation with over 20 years of experience. We are currently working in Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa by serving the poor and marginalized through community development and humanitarian aid projects.

Job Summary:

Key Result Area (KRA) 1:  Data Collection Observation and Reporting:

a)                  Visit all designated families in the Pule -e- Charkhi community.

b)                  Interview one member of each family and complete the interview form.

c)                  Observe each yard/house and facilities and record the observations on the form.

d)                  Collect and record stories from the community related to the WaSH.

e)                  Submit all interview forms to the Data Analyst.

f)                   Report any challenges to the Data Analyst.

Must be able to keep all information confidential

Friendly, kind and able to communicate with people of all cultures with respect

Good speaking, reading, writing ability in Dari

Decent, respectable appearance

Honest and hard-working, even without direct supervision

Previous Data Collection and observation experience 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Result Area (KRA) 2: Maintain a good reputation of operation mercy in the community


a)                  Advocate, explain and support Op Mercy WaSH project activities and values to the community.

b)                  Ensure good relationships with the community leaders.

 

Key Result Area (KRA) 3: General WaSH Program and Op Mercy WaSH Office. The WaSH Data Collector will:


a)      Perform any other duties as directed by the Data Analyst.

b)      Maintain an attitude of learning that continuously seeks to grow in professional skills and cultural understanding of the target community and co-workers.
