About Mission East:
conduct various surveys and to plan, implement, monitor food processing and nutrition project activities in target communities, with working together with other ME staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To assure timely implementation of nutrition / food processing projects and related activities, by such as making implementation plan, procurement list, training plan and monitoring plan.
To deliver nutrition / food processing training to target beneficiaries.
To conduct day to day monitoring activities, and to prepare reports about them - including written reports in local language or English (desirable) â€“ in accordance with ACâ€™s guidance.
To be in charge of mobilizing female group gathering for nutrition and food processing project.
To represent Mission East at women gathering, as requested by AC and/or PPM.
To contribute to other relevant assessment and evaluation activities.
To prepare the documents / database of nutrition and food processing activities
To assist ME team with other tasks as necessary.
To work in accordance with the procedures and guidelines laid down in the â€œMission East Field Security Manual.â€
To act in a professional and appropriate manner at all times.
Able to write report and speak in local languages or English (very desirable)
Good facilitation and mobilization skill (preferably knowledge on participatory approach)
Computer skill (MS Word and Excel)
Good negotiation and communication skill
Helpful and courteous manner, trustworthiness
Ability to adapt to different working environments in villages and at international NGO office
Home Economics qualifications â€“ at university level / High School or relevant sectors.
Experience of working with International NGOs in the home economics (preferably food / nutrition) or community mobilization.
