Job Summary

Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance, and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This involves managing or conducting performance, operational, financial, IT, fraud investigation, and compliance audit assignments within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Audit the records of regular clients using the institution’s internal control standards;
• Ensure that field staff are aware of and in compliance with internal control standards forclient files;
• Report regularly improvements needed to ensure transparency and excellent service to clients;
• Work with loan officers to improve recovery of delinquent loans;
• Be aware of the safety procedures of the company;
• Fight internal and external fraud;
• Other functions necessary to accomplish the mission of Hope for Life.

Job Requirements

• Experience of internal audit and accounting background/training
• Familiarity with common indicators of fraud and experience in microfinance operations in a supervising capacity
