About Kabul University Women's Dormitory Programming :

This project will provide educational programming for approximately 1400 female students housed in the Women’s Dormitory at Kabul University

Job Summary:

The project director is working under direct supervision of National Head of Operation and she is responsible for day-to-day overseeing the project activities and staff direction regularly on project proposed tasks. She is also responsible for collection and submission of the reports to the main office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise the overall operation of KU Dorm project;

Supervise all program activities to ensure they are aligned to the approved project work plan, adhere to the organization’s policies and procedures, and ensure that KU Dorm project activities are implemented in consultation with ESO National Head of Programs;

Maintain regular contact such as attending weekly Skype sessions, sharing reports, and etc. with ESO National Head of Programs., to ensure smooth implementation of the project;

Provide technical input for key program activities, especially in students’ affairs center;

Review, revise, and approve employees’ monthly work plans, timelines, training Plans to ensure that all activities are in accordance with the project work plan;

To actively participate in discussions, Idea generations, and regular meetings during the life of project;

Supervise the work of project team according to the project plan and job description of the team members by arranging regular staff meetings;

Ensure that proper documentations of the project activities, events and other information related to the project are recorded;

Report on monthly/quarterly/ad hoc basis to the management of the Organization and record them accordingly;

Ensure effective collaboration with the KU Dorm administration for smooth implementation of the project;

Act as an Organization representative regarding KU Dorm project in dealings with KU Dorm administration, university chancellor, and/or officials at MoHE as required;

Provide data and cooperate with the Monitoring and Evaluation Department to update Facebook page on regular basis;

Celebrate different national or international days, such as Afghanistan Independence Day, Women’s Day and other culturally appropriate themes;

Be creative in planning effective programs during the span of the project in related to sports, cultural activities, and etc;

Establish and maintain close cooperation with the Kabul Education Advising Center (KEAC) located in Kabul to introduce students to them and host/co-host advisory educational/career development sessions at KU Dorm;

Take on additional tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Job Requirement:

Minimum Bachelor Degree, Master Degree Preferable

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, project design and implementation

Very strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)

Exceptional written communication skills in English

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to provide training

Management and Administrative skills.

Managerial, leadership and staff motivation.

Data analysis and report writing.

Be able to use the MS Office package (Word, Excel and Power Point)
