PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible to liaise between WV and the community to ensure the WV projects are with the consent of the community. Ensure that WV operational areas are safe and there is no threat against WV staff and its operational areas. The person reports to the zone manager.

Liaise between WV, government and the community. Ensure that WV is well known by the people of the community and WV project activities are well clarified to the people of community. 20 %
Conduct assessment to ensure the safety of WV staff while out in the field.
Ensure proper risk assessment is conducted from the operational areas to ensure it is safe for WV to operate in the area.

Communicate with the Operation Director • Ensure to communicate with the zone office daily. Ensure to maintain his presence in the office once a week.
• Ensure to update the Operation Director about overall situation in his area of work.
• Ensure to update the Operation Director and Security Manager if a security incident or threat arises in the area. 20 %
Frequent travel to the field Ensure to travel frequently to the areas where WV operates to ensure WV operational areas are functioning properly and report immediately if there are security issues or other issues that can cause trouble for the WV in the area. A motorbike will be provided for the Field Officer, to travel to the field. Ensure the good usage of the motorbike and the motorbike is maintained properly. 20%
Ensure the WV project activities are beneficial for the people of community. Always check with the people of community to ensure they are okay with WV activities and the type of projects WV offers to them. 10%
Preparation for evacuation of WV staff in the field Ensure to identify a safe place for WV staff to stay during emergency if happens in the area. 5%
Written agreement about WV project activities Ensure that written agreement is made between WV, government and the community elders, to ensure safety of WV staff, assets, premises and operations. 5%
Weekly report to the Operation Director Prepare weekly situation report and submit it to the zone manager. Ensure to brief him about the situation in his area. 5%

Ability to travel with Motorbike The person must know how to use motorbike.
