Field Engineer

Job Summary:

5 Years’ experience in construction of roads; experience of working with international organization involved in construction of infrastructure works

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties of the Consultant shall include, but not be limited to:

(i) checking Contractor's traffic management and safety plans and ensure these are in compliant with the approved plans;

(ii) assist the Team Leader (TL) in handing over of the possession of the project area to the contractor;

(iii) assist the TL in ensuring that the de-mining works have been satisfactory completed;

(iv) assist the TL in preconstruction activities;

(v) liaising with the appropriate authorities to ensure that all affected utility services are promptly relocated;

(vi) carrying out checks on the Contractors’ setting out and ensuring that the Works are carried out in accordance with the drawings and other design details;

(vii) monitoring the Contractors’ laboratory testing and carrying out Independent testing as required;

(viii) assist TL / RE in measuring the works, agreeing and certifying interim and final payment certificates for submission to the employer;

(ix) assist TL / RE in certification of the due quantity and quality of all works, based on cross-checking of on-site approvals;

(x) assist the TL / RE for compliance of the instructions to the contractor for removal of improper works;

Job Requirement:

Highest Finished Education: Degree in Civil engineering
