Under the direct supervision of the Head of Monitoring and Result Reporting Unit the Monitor will be responsible for undertaking the following tasks:
ï€ Visit sites to collect information on projects status.
ï€ Collect data on the performance indicators to assess the outputs of the programme
ï€ Collect information in projects progress with appropriate photos relevant to projects.
ï€ Check quality of work.
ï€ Provide feedback to the implementers on projects site on quality.
ï€ Provide necessary training on field monitoring to regional/provincial staff.
ï€ Compile field information in prescribed monitoring format.
ï€ Provide appropriate training to DDAs for projects monitoring, with close collaboration with community empowerment unit.
ï€ Provide feedback to MRRU.
ï€ Participate in workshops and relevant meetings.
ï€ Assist in effective reporting on the programme activities
ï€ Contribute to sharing the NABDP programme’s experiences with relevant stakeholders, including government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs and academic institutions and ensuring regular exchange of information with other UNDP and national development programmes and building synergies among their development interventions
Required Education/ Degrees/ Skills
ï€ BE degree in civil engineering and equivalent degree from recognized University.
ï€ Good knowledge of English (in reading, writing and speaking), knowledge of Dari and Pashto
ï€ Good computer skills: word, excel, Power Point, publishing software.
ï€ Willing to go to field.
ï€
Work experience
ï€ Experience of working in development cooperation, desirably with experience of monitoring and project implementation
ï€ Experience and knowledge of field research methods and data collection
ï€ Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, and advocating.
ï€ Previous experience working infrastructure projects.
