AHG seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Fieldwork/Data Collection Associate for its Research Services Division. The Fieldwork/Data Collection Associate will be responsible to work directly with Fieldwork Manager and help in data collection activities of AHG. The Fieldwork/Data Collection Associate will be responsible for providing support to the data collection, data management, data analysis, logistics and financial management of data collection activities in the field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Helps create a base of reliable data collectors across Afghanistan and help ARS build a database of reliable data collectors from 34 provinces
Helps mobilize enumerators for data collection activities when needed
Supervises and coordinates with field teams and solves field related problems
Establishes streamlined mechanism and checklists for data collectors’ training and data collection processes
Trains enumerators on research methods, ethics, instruments and topic of the research
Establishes supervision mechanisms and checklists to ensure data quality
Supervises the data collection process and conducts data quality assurance
Facilitates logistics and coordinates with field teams
Manages finances of the fieldwork/data collection activity and settles all accounts by the end of each month
Education:High School/Bachelor’s and 3 Year(s) of relevant and progressive experience.
o Must have a high school certificate. Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
o Some familiarity with research concepts and processes
o Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate and weigh different sides of an argument and apply reason and logic to determine the merits of arguments
o Problem Solving: Ability to identify, define and analyze problems
o Fluent in Dari and Pashto. Must have intermediate English skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
o Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work both as an independent self-starter and as a member of a dynamic and fast-moving team
o Cultural awareness and comfortable working in various regions across Afghanistan
