Correspondence with banks and money changers, as assigned. Strong correspondence with finance staff in other MC offices, as assigned by manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
ï‚§ Assist Helmand and Kabul Finance to cover and provide the needs of INVEST and DASTGAH such as review process and Documents. This may include document printing, scanning, sending and follow up for review process in Kabul Office.
ï‚§ Assist Kabul Finance for Bank/Hawala Transfer for Helmand Office.
ï‚§ Assist Kabul Finance for any information needed from Helmand Finance.
ï‚§ Establish and maintain proper filing and documentation system according to MC policies and procedures
ï‚§ File all the vouchers in files and label them as per MC labeling and filing system
ï‚§ Coordinate closely with all Kabul Finance staffs.
ï‚§ Assist Helmand Finance to prepare INVEST and DASTGAH Monthly report hard copy.
ï‚§ Assist Helmand Finance to check the completeness of INVEST and DASTGAH Documents before archiving.
ï‚§ Assist Kabul Finance on INVEST and DASTGAH documents archiving.
ï‚§ Assist and Conduct compliance check
ï‚§ Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in Afghanistan
ï‚§ Deal with all staff in professional manner.
ï‚§ Other duties as assigned and agreed upon
Minimum high school education or equivalent. Attentiveness to detail. Good recording capabilities. 2-3 years of experience in large scale Finance operation; Strong organizational skills; ability to interact effectively with international and national personnel. Excellent oral and written English skills. High computer skills on MS Office programs. A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action as to not delay program activities. A clear understanding of procurement, logistic and financial policies and donor compliance is essential. A willingness to travel occasionally to other MC offices for business (mainly Kandahar and Kabul).
