Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Admin-Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support the finance department activities. This support will include but not be limited to:
Assist the team and finance manager to prepare, monitor/track, and update FEFA’s annual, quarter, and monthly budget for its projects.
The assistant will prepare monthly actual versus budget statement of expenditures.
The assistant will maintain bank transaction track, records, and preparation of bank accounts reconciliations.
Prepare regular cash flow statements and any other reports and will submit to finance manager for review.
Check and review the documents submitted by the procurement or program sections for payments prior to the payment to take place and make sure the procedures are followed.
Reconcile the advance payments made for the implementation of programs and procurements.
Support finance officer regarding daily entries to Quick Books including all transactions.
Assist the finance officer in preparing the monthly, quarterly, final, by annual reports for the ministry of economy and annual tax return for the ministry of finance (Tax department).
Assist the manager to prepare the drawdowns for the projects to the donors.
Any other tasks to be assigned by the manager and /or executive director.
Follow up with the tax department.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration or Finance Management from a recognized University will be preferable.
Language ability to be fluent in Pashto, Dari and English.
