Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements

·        Analyzing your company's financial performance and making longer term forecasts

  • Recommending ways of cutting costs
  • Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
  • Researching and understanding tax law
  • Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs on your clients' behalf
  • Checking and completing tax forms
  • Auditing clients' tax records
  • Monitoring the performance of the department
  • Auditing
  • Overseeing all tax and regulatory/compliance issues
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner

·        Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable

  • Process payroll in a timely manner
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Provide for a system of management cost reports
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

·         Maintain all the necessary reporting to the banks and backup system reports

·        Maintain the company bank balance and remain cognizant of outstanding checks

·        Read and review any documentation that is attached to checks for approval and accuracy sake

·        Make sure all financial statements and tables are correct and precise

·        Make sure that the owner of the company receives the company bank statement unopened

·        Reconcile all bank statements and monthly financial reports

·        Prepare projections annually and update monthly with actual figures

·        The controller must coordinate with the auditors and be prepared to surrender documentation if called upon

·        Coordinate with the tax division of the company and prepare any schedules that are required for tax returns


  • Maximizing revenue

·        Oversees month-end closing and year-end closing and coordinates and assigns duties to the 

·        Accounting staff as needed. 

·        proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping of accounting company transactions are 

·        Performed within the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

·        Evaluates departmental performance and makes adjustments to daily operations when 

·        needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectives

·        Prepare BRTs and other Tax forms for tax purposes.

·        Confers with upper management about budgeting and reviewing strategies to meet overalgoals and objectives

·        And any other tasks related to Finance department and Tax related Issued
