Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall activities of the finance department. The candidate is responsible to extend joint efforts to meet requirements of reporting calendar by making sure the financial reports from the regional offices are reached main office on time, analyzed, checked and fed into main financial database.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Make sure all financial activities in the main office and project office are inline with donor requirements and meets standards of ACTD financial system,
2. To keep accurate and updated bank transactions record
3. To prepare updated reporting calendar and strictly follow it. All financial reports must be prepared at least four working days before its due date,
4. Review the budget of all running projects and provide proper written feedbacks so no budget line is over expended
5. To make sure standard version of QuickBook software is exercised in all running project. All financial reports should be received from project on QuickBook oriented version,
6. Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
7. To perform supervisory visits to projects, review financial system and provide on job training
8. Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
9. Monitor and supervise the daily activities finance section and make sure accuracy and transparency is strictly exercised

Job Requirements

At least Bachelors Degree in Finance/Business Administration
At least five years of direct experience in finance/accounting
Experience in preparation of financial report in the format of international donors
Must be flexible, fast learning and understanding new systems, structures and procedures
Must be able to supervise and train junior financial staff.
Excellent knowledge of computer skills
Willingness to travel to provinces
Ability to work under pressure
