Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall management, administration and planning of financial affairs. He/she monitors the finance activities of ATVI, and ensures the proper financial support and implementation of the strategy for achieving the goal of providing quality education, and training. He/she is responsive to the orders issued by ATVI CEO, Executive Director and Academic Deputy Director on all finance, project related issues and prepares reports as needed. He/she coordinates all finance-admin related activities with the Administration Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Set up proper accounting procedures, systems and internal controls to ensure that proper monitoring mechanisms are in place; identify weaknesses and address them immediately
2. Manage the financial software and bookkeeping of ATVI projects’ budgets
3. Track and oversee budgets and expenditures, controlling cash and revenue expenses
4. Integrate and adjust internal financial systems for optimal efficiency, paying bills and taxes, preparing and submitting periodic finance reports to management and donors as required
5. Assist ATVI Executive Director on the financial status of projects and programs (including pending and approved budgets, contributions, confirmation, etc.)
6. Ensure that bank reconciliations of ATVI accounts are regularly performed and reviewed by designated officials
7. Ensure proper maintenance of vendor accounts and timely clearance of outstanding advances and other receivables
8. Routinely monitor financial reports and transactions, investigating anomalies or unusual transactions and informing executives and program management of the results of the investigation when satisfactory answers are not obtained
9. Maintain confidential files on all contracts
10. Schedule payments and other remittances for subcontractors in coordination with Administration manager
11. Manage and deal with all financial documentation such as voucher, payroll, bills, exchange currency, cash book, bank book, preparing budget and financial reports, petty cash expenses
12. Allocate monthly petty cash for daily operating expenses in coordination and as per requirement of Administration Manager
13. Ensure that financial and accounting policies and procedures are maintained and followed according to ATVI financial policies
14. Monitor cash flow, and ensure that sufficient funds are always available for different programs and tasks
15. Administer, supervise and develop the finance system and internal accounting controls; integrate financial and statistical information into a comprehensive financial recording and reporting system
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in financial management, or its equivalent from a recognized university
