Finance Officer
• Prepare timely and accurate periodic financial reports as required and/or requested;
• Ensure that the procurement of goods and services are in alignment with FIA Procurement and Purchasing Policies;
• Review financial reports submitted by the provincial offices and provide feedback on accuracy and overall fiscal operations and management;
• Maintain cash-flow projection statements and alert the Finance Department and provincial field offices when there are shortfalls and/or over-expenditures;
• Monitor the respective organizational department spending to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints;
• Review all financial reports that are submitted by the field offices to their respective departments, ensuring accuracy of the records;
• Maintain cash flow projection statements;
• Responsible for bank transfers to LGCD field offices;
• Prepare department financial data for audits;
• Record and update all fund inflows and expenditures and ensure that all expenditures charged to the provincial office budget conform to the rules and regulations of FIA.
• Reconcile the provincial office accounts each month, according to the instructions received by FIA’s Finance Department.
• Bachelor’s Degree: Preference given to Finance and Management graduates.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong financial accounting skills, [preference given to those familiar with Quickbooks]
• Knowledge of financial/budget accounting and monitoring systems;
• Strong MS Office skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Access;
• Willingness to travel and work in various provinces.
• Preference given to those who are familiar with the LGCD operations;
• Excellent communication skills and strong negotiating skills;
• Motivated, hardworking, creative, innovative and a strong team player.
• Ability to set deadlines and manage time effectively.
• A minimum of two (2) years work experience in the finance departments of other national or international organizations. Preference given to those with a financial or management background.
• Prior experience working in difficult and insecure environments is a plus.
