OXUS Afghanistan is a part of OXUS Group, a global network of Microfinance Institutions created by ACTED, a leading international NGO operating in 25 countries. Job Summary:

The Finance Officer will be responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, Loan tracking software and maintain bank book.

Duties & Responsibilities:

a) Accurately input all data provided from OXUS Branches into the financial software and produce appropriate monthly expenditure reports;
b) Conduct regular cash reconciliations with the cashier weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual;
c) Conduct reconciliations between the accounting and the loan tracking software;
d) Conduct monthly bank reconciliations;
e) Track all fixed assets, maintain proper inventory lists, and conduct regular amortization of these assets according to Afghan laws and OXUS Afghanistan policies;
f) Ensure to respect the current procedures of OXUS Afghanistan in all transactions;
g) Supervise cashier, check daily cash count report, manual cash books;
h) To maintain bank book;
i) Conduct monthly reconciliations between the accounting and loan tracking software; ensure the correctness of the data entered by users;

Job Requirement:

a) Afghan citizen
b) Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field;
c) 2+ years of experience in financial management, the majority of which in a banking, microfinance, or financial services setting;
d) Fluent in Dari and English welcome but not essential
e) Computer skills in Word and/or Excel
f) Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
 Excellent communication skills to be able to present complex financial details to non-financial staff;
 Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility;
 Integrity to keep sensitive information secure;
 Confidence and determination;
