The Finance Officer will work in Kabul Support Office the purpose of position is that Finance officer will be responsible for all tax issues of NRC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Be responsible for tax calculation, submission of tax reports monthly and annual;
â€¢ To assist AFM and FC in his work when necessary;
â€¢ Be responsible to verify payment according to the contracts, NRC policies and ensure that Afghanistan tax legislation is followed;
â€¢ Check the payrolls of Support Office and field offices to ensure tax compliance and in line with the NRC policies;
â€¢ Be in close dialogue with HR Kabul and Office Administrators on Payroll and tax issues;
â€¢ To make sure NRC Afghanistan complies with laws and regulations regarding finance and accounting, and to prepare payments of all tax liabilities on time
â€¢ Responsible to reconcile tax account of NRC on monthly basis
â€¢ Responsible to get TIN form for all NRC staff.
â€¢ Assist AFM in preparation of financial reports to donors;
â€¢ Maintain a good understanding of NRC handbooks for Finance, HR and Logistics
â€¢ Be responsible to maintain NRC filling system of financial record specially record of tax payments
â€¢ Make sure that Office Administrators are supported when needed in tax and other financial matters
â€¢ Any other task from AFM or FAM
â€¢ An excellent understanding of the financial system is essential;
â€¢ At least 4 years previous work experience with a satisfactory performance in the same or similar functional area preferably with UN or NGOs;
â€¢ Technical or university level courses in finance, or administration desirable;
â€¢ Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
â€¢ Fluency in written and spoken English;
â€¢ Ability to work additional hours if and when required;
â€¢ Ability to commence work immediately.
