About Afghanistan Cricket Board

Job Summary

Finance Officer is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash controls, preparing the payroll and administration cost, purchasing, maintaining accounts payable and managing office operations, daily expenses, logistics, and other relevant issues.

Reporting
The finance officer will report to Finance manager

Duties & Responsibilities


Maintain day-to-day financial control of the service within Cashier.

Check monthly and quarterly financial reports, including cashbooks.

Maintain miscellaneous and petty cash accounts.

Classify, verify and process claims for payment, and check vouchers, prices and claims invoices

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, expenditure forecast and participate in budget analysis/revision as required

Responsible for good maintenance of financial and administrative files and records

Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place

And in use at all times.

Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval by the governing body

Make regular reports to the governing body on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets.

Making daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations

To perform any relevant task which assigned by line manager


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


The finance officer may be required to travel extensively around the country.

Must be able to travel and balance work/life priorities.

Job Requirements


BBA in finance or accounting

3-year relevant work experience

Ability to use different accounting software

Strong understanding of theoretical and practical cricket issues including familiarity with ICC and ACC rules

Writing skills and demonstrated the ability to develop written reports and action plans in both English and local languages.

Ability to work with business leads and creative teams to successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.

Effective communication skills to communicate effectively with all concerned staff
