Job Summary

To implement the Subnational governance policy; b) Establishment of a strong coordination between the Economic, financial and accountability affairs working group members and activities. 

Duties & Responsibilities

1.To Conduct a study of the current economic, financial and accountability situations of the sub national governance with providing corrective technical recommendations for their enhancement;

2.To provide technical assistance for the preparation of the accountability mechanism;

3.To provide technical assistance for the accurate implementation of the local governance policy;

4.To provide technical assistance in the formulation of strategic plans for the development zones and provinces;

5.To ensure that the local governance policy is implemented by the economic, financial and accountability working group also the local governance committee;

6.To follow-up and ensure the correct application/implementation of the agreed points/approval of the local governance committee, relevant to the economic, financial and accountability activities/affairs;

7.To provide technical assistance in the development of the sub national governance strategy;

8.To Provide technical support and assistance in the formulation of the local Administration law, PGO and DGO operational manual;

9.To collect, draft and document the recommendations, suggestions and approval/agreed points of the working groups and presenting them to the local governance committees secretariat;

10.Any other duties and tasks given by the Directorate of Policy and Plan;

Job Requirements

  1. Maximum BA in Business administration, Public administration, economics, Social Science; 
  2. MA or PhD will be preferred; 3.At least 5 years of relevant experience for BA and 
  3. Years for MA holders; 
  4. Demonstrating knowledge of government policy and planning process; 

  1. Ability to multitask; 
  2. Provide substantive inputs and analyses towards the preparation and coordination of briefing notes and background materials for the secretary of the SNG sub committee; 
  3. Working effectively with other stockholders; 
  4. Coordination and Management skills; 
  5. Able to implement the institutional objectives/Road map; 
  6. Excellent in local languages and English;
  7. Able to use computer programs/applications (MS. Word Excel Power Point);
