Review and control reports submitted by Branches and check their compliance with finance procedures;
Provide financial training to Branch Finance Officers

Detailed job description
Under the supervision of the Financial Manager, the Financial Controller will be responsible for achieving the following objectives and will have the following responsibilities:
Cost control
•Control all expenses in all branches and make sure they are in line with finance procedures and authorized allowances;
•Control all running fuel, communication, food, energy, office maintenance and office supplies expenses;
•Propose effective solutions for reducing the costs of OXUS;
•Develop financial indicators for the management to effectively review the profitability of branches;

Compliance
•Control daily cash count reports and cash reconciliations submitted by branches;
•Control monthly cash requests;
•Verify all the cost control documents sent by the branches;
•Verify inventories and check fixed assets in the branches;
•Check accounting documents, accounting entries and correct allocation of expenses;
•Work with internal audit team on the remediation of all financial weaknesses identified;
•Contribute to the improvement of OXUS finance procedures.
Training
•Travel regularly to the branches to provide training to finance officers;
•Identify weaknesses of finance staff and propose training plans in order to improve their capacity;

Job Requirements

•A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics;
•Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis;
•3 to 5 years experience in finance or Accounting;
•Good knowledge of double entry-accounting;
•Advanced computer skills;
•Fluency in English and Dari with strong written and verbal communication skills in both language;

Compensation and Benefits: Monthly net salary 30,000 to 35,000 AFA based on the experience and qualification, salary tax will be paid by OXUS Afghanistan on behalf of the employee; moreover the transportation, lunch, monthly 1500 Afghani mobile credit card and, 1250 Eid bonus per Eid will be provided to the employee.
