Job Summary

The incumbent will perform a variety of functions relating to project support. The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties & Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Food Serviced Manager is responsible to ensure all camp food service logistical matters are within project requirements. This individual will be an integral part of the Facility Management Team by ensuring all Food Services are set up, controlled and administered through the project life. The Food Services Manager will be directly supervising and mentoring all food service, catering, cleaning and maintenance staff for the food storage and preparation areas. He/she will be required to report on all activities on a weekly basis by producing a Support Services summary of actions achieved and areas for improvement.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

• Manage all Food Services local staff.
• Provide excellent support facilities for catering and cleaning and ensure sanitation/hygiene in all kitchens, sleeping and office accommodation buildings.
• Manage food and kitchen related materials inventories and project accurate forecast for ordering.
• Manage food and kitchen related materials procurement within USAID rules and regulations.
• Supervise the inspection of all food deliveries for quality, quantity and freshness upon delivery.
• Maintain an accurate Food Services Facilities and Maintenance Register for, and identify current and future works.
• Ensure all food preparation storage facilities are maintained with facility management scheduling and routine maintenance.
• Report all OHSA matters accurately and timely.
• Identify and report all potential risks in the course of your duties directly to the TO27 Task Order Manager

Job Requirements

Desirable Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years working within an international company environment, UN, NGO or USAID with Food Service Preparation, Procurement and Facility Management experience. The candidate must have excellent time management skills and can manage multiple projects within a camp facility. This individual will be well experienced in using MS Office and must have an excellent understanding of the principles and the application of Occupational Health and Safety within the food services area.

Mandatory Condition of Employment:

• The selected candidate must be willing to reside at the power plant 6 days a week.

Desirable Qualifications:

• The selected candidate must be able to provide a well diversified menu to cater the different culture and ethnic groups of personnel working at the power plant.

Education:

• Completion of a recognized course in Food Service Management and should be qualified to a minimum level of Sous Chef. Without a degree qualification, the candidate must have 5 years of solid experience in Food Service Management within an international company, the UN or USAID

Experience:

• The candidate must have 5 years of solid experience in Food Service Management within an international company, the UN or USAID.

Language Requirements:

• Fluent English (Level 5)
