Job Summary

Under overall management of MoMP Investment Promotion and Marketing Director, The Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Expert is responsible to create and (or) facilitate the investment attraction opportunities and promote Afghanistan's economic and trade interests worldwide by working closely with business and commercial sectors to attract foreign direct investment in mining sector in Afghanistan.

Duties & Responsibilities

Attracting companies to set up or expand investment in Afghanistan in mining Sector

Engaging in investment promotion activities, visits to companies and providing practical assistance to potential investors.

Broad knowledge of the business environment in mining sector.

Act as primary point of contact for clients with investment needs.

Conducting Feasibility Studies and/or Business Plan.

Provide investment information related to new equity products, regulatory issues and new policies.

Identify and convey issues or constraints associated with product, operations, systems, platform, pricing and propose alternatives.

Ensure conformance with entire company guidelines and regulatory policies.

Identify customers ‘investment needs by basic financial planning modules.

Provide different investment products to attain successfully identified needs.

Maintain and update records as well as files on existing customers.

Prioritize customer requirements and cross-sells services and products of varied company business lines.

Ensure to plans everyday center of influence contacts.

Identify changing needs and develop strong customer relationships.

Plan and conduct customer meetings.

Develop community and market awareness to actively find Investment Opportunities.

Identify and develop alternative procedures of business development to draw new assets and attain planned goals.

Job Requirements

At least Bachelor degree, Master degree will prefer in investment related field, (international trade, commerce and economic). A higher degree would be an advantage

At least 5 years of working experiences in related fields.

Previous experience in FDI will be strongly desirable

Supervision of Junior staff

Able to produce reports and other standards documents up to a professional standard Fluency in English (written and spoken), Pashto and Dari, local language proficiency is desirable.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner

Excellent research and data collection methodology skills

Ability to create organizational work plans based on higher-level goals

Ability to lead and coordinate multiple offices through multiple step processes without being a direct supervisor (although appropriate authority will be given)
