Job Summary

Responsibilities of Forensic Medicine Support Consultant(s) is but not limited to planning, designing and implementation of various capacity building programs, malpractice assessment plans, QA/QC plans, enhancing service delivery programs, development of policies and strategies, regulations, amendment of law and other legal documents as well as any other tasks within the scope of the responsibilities of the directorate as required by supervisor/coordinator.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. To do the assessment of various departments of FMD (including procedures for service delivery), finding gaps, parallel units and overlapping functions, challenges, obstacles and develop a capacity building plan for it.
2. To assist in developing organizational plans, policies, strategies, guidelines, protocols, regulations, amendment of law and any other such documents within the scope of the responsibilities of the directorate.
3. To Join working groups/teams for completion of assignments in FMD and MOPH relates tasks and play their active role.
4. To support Educational Unit of FMD in developing of required material for specialization program, training courses, seminars and conferences, curriculums and etc.
5. To assist in establishment, setting up and running of the activities of Malpractice Assessment Unit of FMD.
6. To assist in developing of concept notes and proposals.
7. To assist the implementation of FMD e-Govt plans in coordination with related departments/individuals.
8. Assist in data collection and date analysis within the scope of FMD and forensic Units of PHRs.
9. Ability to travel to provinces and visiting FM Units for assessment, coordination and support purposes and create a better communicational environment between FMD and its provincial units to reduce the gaps and remove challenges in order to facilitate the expansion and enhancement of the service delivery.
10. To report (progress of work, achievements and activities) on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
11. To assist the department in completion of other official tasks and duties.

Job Requirements

1. Afghan Nationality
2. MD or Equivalent Degree from a Recognized Medical Faculty attested/Certified by Ministry of Higher Education of IRoA.
3. Master’s Degree (MPH or MBA) attested/Certified by Ministry of Higher Education of IRoA (Priority will be given to those who possess both master degrees or to those who possess specialization in one of the clinical fields or forensic medicine in addition to a master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields)
4. At least five years of full time experience with any government or reputed non-government organization focused mainly in capacity building, training and development programs.
5. Proficiency of National Languages (Dari and Pashto)
6. Proficiency of English Language
7. Computer Proficiency in Ms Office Programs (Mainly Ms Word, Ms Excell, Ms PowrePoint)
8. Ability to Travel to Provinces frequently
9. Ability to do assessments, conduct surveys, produce reports, communicate department related issues independently
