We are looking for a General IT Manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. IT Manager will supervise the implementation and maintenance of AUAF’s current IT and future IT infrastructure.
The successful candidate shall have improved skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.
The General IT Manager’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures;
Manage computer systems and network;
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations;
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance;
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures;
Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems;
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy;
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time;
Audit systems and assess their outcomes;
Preserve assets, information security and control structures;
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness;
Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies;
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects;
Complete projects by coordinating resources and schedule with internal departments and external parties;
Have a precise plan for a disaster recovery solution;
Oversee current projects and future projects, assure that they are meeting all defined standards; and
Lead projects from the beginning until the end with period reports given to direct supervisor and proper and timely documentation of projects should be maintained.

BCS/ BIT – Required, Master in Computer Science Preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of IT Infrastructural experience with international organizations
PMP/ Prince2 Preferred
Cisco CCNA R&S, CCNP R&S Required
CompTIA Server+, A+ Certifications Preferred
Microsoft MCSE 2008/ 2012 Certifications Required
A thorough knowledge and technical understanding of the following:
o Windows (XP, Win7, Win8, Win10, Server 20XX)
o Macintosh OS
o Linux
o Active Directory - AAA
o Cisco
o Dell/ HP
