General Practitioner liaises with the Ministry of Public Health and clinic staff. He/she offers excellent medical care to patients and is involved in staff training, creating health promotion material and providing emergency on-call services to patients
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Providing and managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment for both genders, with particular skills and comfort in womenâ€™s health.
â€¢ Prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens as appropriate given the patientâ€™s medical conditions.
â€¢ Referring patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
â€¢ Managing the daily operations of a specific medical program or patient care unit.
â€¢ Directing and coordinating the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
â€¢ Following quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
â€¢ Designing, developing, implementing and presenting health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.
â€¢ Providing 24-hour emergency on-call medical care and coordinating other emergency personnel.
â€¢ Keeping written records of patient symptoms and recommended treatment
â€¢ Traveling within Afghanistan when necessary to fulfill the corporations needs and attends meetings as necessary to represent the corporation and/or the Medical Facility
â€¢ Training Clinic Team with aims for building capacity in medical knowledge and practice management
â€¢ Supporting and continuing Clinic initiatives to increase the efficiency, efficacy, cost recovery and international standard of the clinic so as to optimize patient care
â€¢ Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
â€¢ Graduate of Medical Faculty, specialization would be an asset
â€¢ Working experience should not be less then 5 years but more then 5 yrs would be an asset
â€¢ Excellent oral and written fluency in English, Dari and Pashto.
â€¢ Working application of Microsoft Office Applications including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
â€¢ Should have sound clinical knowledge for chronic and basic acute primary care
â€¢ Should have knowledge of basic Venipuncture, Radiology, ECG, Ultrasound applications and use.
â€¢ Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
