Job Summary:
General Practitioner liaises with the Ministry of Public Health and clinic staff. He/she offers excellent medical care to patients and is involved in staff training, creating health promotion material and providing emergency on-call services to patients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
MOJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• -providing and managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
• -prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
• -referring patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
• -managing the daily operations of a specific medical program or patient care unit.
• -directing and coordinating the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
• -following quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• -designing, developing, implementing and presenting health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.
• -performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• -providing 24-hour emergency on-call medical care and coordinating other emergency personnel.
• -traveling within Afghanistan when necessary to fulfill the corporations needs and attends meetings as necessary to represent the corporation and/or the Medical Facility
• -keeping written records of patient symptoms and recommended treatment
INCENTIVES
Dental assistant takes direction from the Social Programs Project Manager and reports directly to the Social Programs director.
Job Requirement:
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
-Graduate of Medical Faculty – specialization would be an asset.
EXPERINCES
SKILLS AND VALUES
-Excellent oral and written fluency in English, Dari and Pashto.
-Working application of Microsoft Office Applications including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
-Should have knowledge of basic radiology, ECG and Ultrasound applications and use.
-Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
IT KNOWLEDGE
ï‚§ Good knowledge of MS Office.
