Job Summary

The incumbent will perform a variety of functions relating to project support. The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties & Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of ministry activities and key personnel.
• Develop personal ties with ministry staff.
• Inform the task leader of significant development or trends within the ministry.
• Identify transportation issues common to other ministries to be presented to the commission.
• Provide technical assistance to the ministry.
• Identify training needs and arrange for training programs.
• Collect and analyze ministry budget information.
• Collect data on ministry transportation project.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare regular reports outlining issues to be considered by the commission.
• Prepare agenda items for monthly commission meetings.
• Prepare Monthly reports, Documenting Process, Issues and plans.
• Participate in strategy meetings within TO-14.

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ministry of operations.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to interrelate with senior ministry staff.
• Experience dealing with budgets and policy formulation.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working at a policy level with GIRoA ministry.
• Experience working in the private sector.
• Experience working foreign donors programs.

Education:
• University degree or substantial equivalent in transportation-related field, engineering or policy formulation.

Experience:

• The candidate should not have less than 5 years of experience in the industry or working in policy development in a donor program.

Languages and Skills:

• Fluent in written and spoken English (Level 3)

Abilities and Skills:

• Ability to work in a team, ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines and good interpersonal skills are required.
