Job Summary:

The Grants assistant, as a core member of the Grants Team, will support the Grants team in all program-related financial interactions for. This will focus on day-to-day interactions with grantees in support of programmatic aspects of all sub grants (budgeting, procurement, implementation tracking); and by providing a supportive role to the grants team.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Helping grants team by printing all the documents necessary for the pre award post award and close out.

Tracking the applications received in response of RFA/RFP.

Preparing all the materials and documents necessary for setting up the evaluation committee.

To communicate with grantees for sending financial reports and other grants related documents.

To follow up with grantees for pending reports and other documents.

To schedule/set the meeting with grantees for any grants related issue.

Maintain internal trackers, such as the grant status and closing trackers. Monitor grant portfolio pipeline of financial commitments and disbursements.

Responsible for day to day management of grant program in close consultation with technical and management team.

Ensure all the grants documents are scanned on a monthly basis and that proper back-up documentation is maintained.

Doing the filing system (Labeling /tagging all the files in chronological order) for the grants department.

Other matters to be assigned from time to time by the Grants Manager.

Job Requirement:


Three years of responsible work experience in grants administration.

Must have background on finance.

Experience working with USAID in grants and cooperative agreements.

Basic analytical and financial management skills

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize with a shifting workload.

Fluency in Pashto or Dari and English is required.

Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
