Grants Coordinator is responsible for the management support of the “Grants†component of ASMED activities. After identification of grant recipients she/he will be processing different grants documentation, and will be in close communication with Grants Manager to make sure each grant document is complete and in compliance with regulations.
• Assist Implementation Manager in research activities (Internet etc.). The Grants dept. will work as a team with consultants and regular short-term technical assistants to achieve the desired goal.
• Assist grantees in writing/editing grants applications
• S/he will have to closely cooperate with ASMED’s Regional Offices in the provinces.
• Work with ASMED’s clients (Grantees)
• Review and provide recommendations for improvement of various implementation activities under the grants programs
• Work closely with the Implementation Manager for implementation/processing of the grants
• Assist in grantee monitoring visitation
• Maintain the grants financial tracker for grants disbursements and definition of milestones
• Maintain and keep TAMIS current at all times
• Maintain and update the Grants Tracker
• Monitor and maintain the grantee visitation tracker.
• Keep the hard copy files updated with all the grantee agreements, amendments, monthly, financial reports correspondence and other reports as necessary.
• Keep track of all the deliverables and report on status on regular basis.
• Make sure the grantees clear their advances before releasing their next payment
• Work closely with Associations and GDA Specialists and MDG managers in the grants closeout.
• Any other task assigned by the Contracts and Grants Manager.
• University graduates preferred
• Excellent English language skills (both written and spoken)
• Preferably Dari and Pashto fluency
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office
• Minimum 2 years working experience in the field;
• Able to pay close attention to detail
• Highly organized
