Scope of work The senior advisor will be responsible for designing and implementation of health promotion and communication campaigns to improve awareness, attitude and heathy behaviours of Afghan population according to health promotion SEHAT proposal.
Objective
To initiate effective, large scale health promotion campaigns and strategies.
Responsibilities
Responsible for project management of third-party agency contracts, including but not limited to those related to training, secondments and health communications campaigns
Works as part of the Health Promotions Task Force (HPTF), to monitor and track health communications programs across line departments, and sectors
Responsible for ensuring all health communications campaigns are based on a sound health communications strategy
Develop a strategy for securing additional resources and providing sustainability
Create digital communications strategy to support health specific campaigns and the larger umbrella campaign
Works with the third-party communications agency to integrate formative research, strategic planning, creative brief development, and media planning
Responsible for providing quality assurance capabilities within the HPD for communications campaigns produced by line departments
Responsible for leading the HPD digital and social media strategy, for engaging with social media partners such as Facebook, and for providing the interface between the campaign strategic plan and the digital/social media plan
Any other tasks assigned by the director of Health Promotion
Qualifications and experience:
Having Bachelor degree in medicine or public health or social science from a recognized university
Postgraduate degree candidates will be preferred
At least five years’ post-graduate work experience in related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language and fluent in a local language;
Demonstrate computer skills (Ms. Office Package).
