Duties & Responsibilities

Provides administrative support to the Information Resource Management Office - ISC Helpdesk working primarily with the Customer Support Team Lead and also supporting IMO management. Handles all administrative issues, management of schedules, appointments, and meetings; organization of files; acquisition of expendable and non-expendable office supplies; receives and screen calls from users reporting IT problems; time and attendance; providing secretarial services for the IMO; maintenance of IRM contact list; coordination of IRM projects and events; include directing requests for service; Providing other assistance as it pertains to IRM assets and services; other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

VA 17-101– Full Performance Level:
1. EDUCATION: Secondary schooling (High School) is required.

2. EXPERIENCE: One-year of full-time working experience in an administrative, business, academic, nongovernmental, or international organization.

3. LANGUAGE: Level (4) Dari required. English competency of 3/3 or better is required.

5. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of computer systems, Familiarization with all Microsoft Office Suite application. PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications mandatory.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks and programs while coordinating with other members of the ISC. Must have organizational, administrative, and computer skills to include an interest developing them further. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of American and Afghan contacts. Must be a self-starter who displays initiative, follow-through, resourcefulness, and adaptability. Must be able to solve problems independently and provide recommendations for process improvements. Must be able to draft professional-quality e­ mails with minimal editing. Must have proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook). Additional proficiency in Windows XP and network administration preferred. Must be able to perform heavy lifting (50 pounds).
